Federal University of Lafia Achieves 100% Success in 2023 and 2024 NUC Accreditation Exercise.
The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is proud to announce that the University has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence by achieving 100% success in the 2024 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) seventeen programmes just like it did in another seventeen in 2023.
The exercise, which is part of NUC's routine assessment of academic quality in Nigerian universities, affirmed FULafia’s compliance with national academic standards across its programmes.The breakdown of the accreditation results is.

Speaking on the success, the Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Ilemona Adofu remarked: “We are deeply honored by this achievement. It is a clear reflection of FULafia's growing reputation for academic integrity, programme quality, and continuous development. We remain committed to maintaining and surpassing these standards.”According to the NUC, full accreditation status remains valid for five years, while interim accreditation is valid for two years, after which programs are reassessed. The University is already addressing observations from the interim report to ensure Nursing Science secures full accreditation at the next review. FULafia continues to forge ahead as one of Nigeria’s leading public universities, dedicated to nurturing future leaders and delivering high-quality education.
