PRESS STATEMENT
PUBLIC CAUTIONARY NOTICE TO ALL IBBUL STUDENTS

The attention of the Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has been drawn to a recent post circulating on social media, specifically Facebook, calling on students to participate in a proposed protest at the Niger State Government House, Minna, regarding the closure of the University.

The University Management wishes to categorically warn all students to desist from any form of unauthorized protest or gathering. Participation in such activities is not only unauthorized, but also unlawful and stands in direct violation of the rules and regulations governing student conduct at the Institution.

Be clearly informed that any student who chooses to involve his or herself in the planned protest will face serious disciplinary action, which may include expulsion from the University. Such action will be taken without hesitation, and no excuses will be entertained.

Students are further reminded that the Students' Union Government (SUG) and other established structures exist to engage constructively with University authorities, and any claims of politicization should be addressed through dialogue, not disobedience.

Please stay informed through official University channels and avoid being misled by unofficial posts or groups that do not represent the interests of the entire student body.

Let us continue to uphold the values that make IBBUL a great Institution. Together, we must build and phase responsibly and united.

Anyone who disregards this directive does so at his or her own peril.

Signed:
Management
