The Lagos State Government in a circular with reference number: CIR/HoS/'25/Vol.1/064 and dated 18th August 2025 signed by the Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, has declared Wednesday, 20th August 2025, a work-free day, in order to commemorate the Year 2025 'Isese Day'.
In compliance with the above directive, the Lagos State University Management has therefore directed all staff (Teaching and Non-Teaching) to observe Wednesday, 20th August 2025, as a work-free day, and resume work on Thursday, 21st August 2025 at 8:00 a.m. prompt.
Students and other concerned members of the University are to also NOTE that by this directive, there will be no examinations on Wednesday, 20th August 2025. The 2024/2025 second semester examination scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 20th August 2025 has been rescheduled to take place on Monday, 15th September 2025.
