The Plateau State University (PLASU), Cut-off marks are the minimum JAMB scores you need in order to be eligible to apply for a course.

🎓 COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES :
If you are planning to study a health-related course, here are the cut-off marks:
1. Medical Laboratory 230
2. Nursing Science 230
3. Public Health 210
Note: These are very competitive courses. Candidates are advised to score higher than the cut-off (e.g., 240 and above) to stand better chances.
🩺 COLLEGE OF MEDICINE:
1. Medicine and Surgery 230
Medicine requires very high performance in both JAMB and Post-UTME.
💊 COLLEGE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES:
1. Pharmacy 230
To be safe, aim for 240+ in JAMB if you want Pharmacy.
🌾 FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES:
1. Crop Production 160
2. Animal Production 160
3. Agricultural Economics & Extension 160.
Agriculture courses are less competitive and are great options for science students with scores from 160 to 200.
🎭 FACULTY OF ARTS:
1. English Language 160
2. History & International Studies 160
3. Religious and Cultural Studies 160
4. Theatre Arts 180
If you scored between 160–170, you can apply for English, History, or Religious Studies. Theatre Arts needs at least 180.
🏗 FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES:
1. Architecture 160
2. Building 160
3. Geography 160
These courses accept 160 and above, making them good choices for both science and art students.
📚 FACULTY OF EDUCATION:
1. Biology Education 160.
2. Mathematics Education 160
3. Chemistry Education 160
4. Physics Education 160
5. English Education 160
6. Christian Religious Studies Education 160
Education courses are flexible and accept a wide range of qualifications. They are suitable for candidates with 160+.
⚖ FACULTY OF LAW:
1. Law 220
Law is one of the most competitive, which we all know about that, even if OJCA did not inform you, same thing with medicine. So you are to aim for a JAMB score of at least 230+ to improve your chances.
📈 FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES:
1. Accounting 180
2. Management Studies 160
3. Entrepreneurial Science 170
Business-minded students should note that Accounting needs 180, while Management accepts 160, and Entrepreneurial Science requires 170.
🔬 FACULTY OF NATURAL & APPLIED SCIENCES:
1. Biochemistry 180
2. Chemistry 160
3. Computer Science 170
4. Mathematics 160
5. Microbiology 170
6. Physics 160
7. Plant Science & Biotechnology 160.
8. Zoology 160
9. Statistics 160
10. Information Technology 160
Science students with 160–165 can go for Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Plant Science, Zoology, Stats, or IT. If you scored 170–180, then Microbiology, Comp. Science, Biochemistry are better choices.
🌍 FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES:
1. Political Science 160
2. Mass Communication 180
3. Sociology 180.
4. Psychology 170.
5. Economics 180
6. Library & Information Science 160
Mass Communication, Economics, and Sociology are popular—aim for 180+. For Political Science and Library Science, 160 is enough.
Despite the above approved cut off marks, students are therefore advise to score above the Cut-Off points.
✓Meeting the minimum cut-off marks does not guarantee admission.
✓Always try to score higher so you stand out in competition.
However, Make sure your JAMB subjects match your course. Wrong combination can disqualify you even if you meet cut-off.
