Following the release of the first and second admission lists for the 2025/2026 academic session on the JAMB CAPS portal, the management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL) has issued an important update for all prospective students.
According to the notice signed by the University Management:
Candidates who have been offered admission are to immediately accept the offer and print their JAMB admission letters via the JAMB CAPS portal.
Candidates offered admission into a programme different from their initial choice should visit JAMB CAPS to either accept or reject the new offer.
The uploading of admitted candidates on JAMB CAPS will continue until 31st October, 2025, and candidates are advised to regularly check their admission status on the portal.
After accepting their admission, successful candidates should proceed to the University’s portal via ibbuportals.ibbu.edu.ng/admissions/check-status to pay their acceptance fees and print their notification of admission.
The University further advised candidates not admitted into over-subscribed programmes — specifically MBBS, Law, and Pharm.D — to consider changing to other available and relevant programmes as listed below:

English, Mass Communication, Political Science, Islamic Studies, French, History and International Studies, Adult Education, Counselling Psychology.
For Pharm.D and MBBS:
Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, Geology, Agriculture, Education Agriculture, Education Biology, Education Physics, Education Chemistry, Human Kinetics and Health Education, Counselling Psychology.
The management emphasized that candidates are expected to act promptly to avoid missing the admission opportunity.
