The Management of the University of Benin hereby informs all candidates who have been offered provisional admission for the 2025/2026 academic session that a newly-designed payment portal has been opened. This applies to:
• All 100-level students
• Newly admitted 200-level Direct Entry candidates
The approved process is as follows:
1. Visit the official student portal: portal.uniben.edu 
2. Login using your User ID (Student ID) and Password. 
3. Navigate to the “PAYMENT” menu, and select “SCHOOL CHARGES” under Payment Type. 
4. Click “PROCESS PAYMENT” and follow the instructions via REMITA to complete transaction. 
5. Upon successful payment, ensure that your payment status is updated in the portal. Logout and login again if necessary. 
Important notes:
• There has been no increase in school charges for any category of students. 
• Only the official university payment link should be used. Students and parents are warned against fraudsters and unauthorised payment platforms.
