This is to notify all members of the University Community that the University Management has approved a break for both staff and students, effective from Tuesday, 23rd December, 2025, to Friday, 2nd January, 2026.
However, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that the following categories of staff are exempted from the break:
Staff engaged in essential services, including but not limited to University Health Services, Fire Services, Security Personnel, Porters, Works, COMSIT, and Corporate Affairs. Such staff will be granted days off at a later date as appropriate.
Management staff.
Members of staff whose programmes are scheduled for accreditation during the break period.
Staff whose services may be required during the break and may be recalled as necessary.
In view of the above, all affected members of staff are advised to take note of the directives and comply accordingly.
