NUC Resource Verification Teams Visit Glorious Vision University
Glorious Vision University (GVU), Ogwa, on Monday, 13th April 2026, received teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for a resource verification exercise.
The delegations, comprising professionals from Criminology and Security Studies, Library and Information Technology, Public Health, Guidance and Counseling, and Educational Management, began their visit with a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ezekiel Shegun Asemah, in his office. The meeting was attended by members of the University Management, including the Registrar and the Bursar. Also present to receive the teams were the Deans of various Colleges, Heads of Departments, and the Director of Academic Planning.
During the visit, the NUC teams expressed appreciation to the university management for the warm reception and hospitality extended to them. They stated that their mission was strictly for resource verification, aimed at assessing the adequacy of facilities and human resources for the programmes under review.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed the teams and expressed gratitude to God for a safe journey. He highlighted key achievements recorded within the short period of his administration, noting that 28 new undergraduate programmes have been introduced, while 13 postgraduate programmes have been upgraded to the Ph.D level. He further emphasized significant strides in infrastructural development across the university, including expansion of academic facilities, improvement in learning environments, and ongoing projects aimed at enhancing teaching, research, and student experience.
He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence, infrastructural advancement, and continuous improvement in line with regulatory standards.
The NUC teams, in response, commended the university management for providing an enabling environment for teaching and learning, as well as for its sustained investment in education and infrastructure.
