The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced plans to roll out a National Digital Pre-Registration App, NDPA, before the 2027 UTME. The aim is to make registration quicker, simpler, and less likely to have mistakes.
With the app, candidates can take care of key preparation steps from home using their phones. You’ll be able to look up courses, check if you qualify, confirm the right subject combinations, and review your personal details before going to any registration center.
The idea is to have CBT centers serve mainly as points for final verification. That should cut down the amount of time spent on physical registration. The app is also built to work on different types of mobile phones, and it can still function even without an active internet connection.
It’s important to note that this platform does not replace the official registration process. Every candidate will still need to visit an accredited CBT or Professional Registration Centre to complete registration and do the final verification.
This rollout is part of wider reforms led by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, focused on building more trust and reducing stress in the admission process.
